5th - 25th September 2010, Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival is the most traditional event that takes place every year. In the Region Hochkönig, the festival is celebrated for 3 weeks where genuine heritage and traditions nurtured over the course of centuries, convey to you a colorful picture of life here in the our 3 villages of Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach am Hochkönig.

The annual return of cattle from summer pasture and the colorful Harvest Festival processions in all the 3 towns is considered to be our special highlight again this year. As the cows, sheep and goats parade colorfully through the town centre; you can also experience authentic folk music, traditional costumes and dances, farmer’s demonstrations, farmers market and special delicacies of our regional cuisine.

This is certainly an event not to miss!
