Maria Alm
Nestled amid a green, pristine natural setting and set against the backdrop of the Steinernes Meer and the Hochkönig, Maria Alm lies at an elevation of 802 meters above sea level and also includes the two mountain villages, Hintermoos and Hinterthal.Maria Alm with 2200 residents is the largest of the three villages. The pilgrimage church in the heart of the town has the highest church tower (76 meters) in the entire Salzburg province.
Hintermoos lies between the peaks of the Sterinernes Meer and the Grass Mountains of Dienten. The Hundstein is 2.117 meters high and therefore the highest Grass Mountain of Europe.
The town of Hinterthal reaches 1.020 meters above sea level. ,The dripping waters of Hinterthal' is considered to be the main attraction of the town.
